Have you been diagnosed with TMJD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction)? Do you consistently have jaw pain or headaches? If so, intraoral massage may help you find relief.
Intraoral massage is a safe and effective manual technique that works on muscles both inside and outside the mouth, neck and throat. You don’t need to be diagnosed with TMJD to benefit from intraoral massage. Many people hold some of their stress in their jaw. The tightening of the jaw pulls and creates tension with the muscles on the side and front of the head, causing headaches.
During this 30 minute session, I will focus about half of the time on the muscles inside and outside the mouth, jaw, and throat. The second portion will focus on the upper shoulders, neck, and scalp for relaxation.
Not all therapists should/can perform intraoral massage, however I have received special training and certification in this area.
